Elise possesses a light lyric voice with substantial range and personality. She regularly appears on the concert and recital platforms, of which have included the Northern Sinfonia, the Hallé, and Manchester Camerata. She's worked with conductors including Simon Over, Nicholas Cramer, Gordon Johnson, Pauline Nobes, and as a student with Sir Colin Davis.
Although the bulk of her work has been in the classical field, she's also explored the world of musical theatre and has been experimenting with this different technique. Some of her past musical theatre performances have included excerpts of the role of Chava in Harnick and Bock's Fiddler On the Roof, as well as several works by both the Gershwin's and Sondheim.
Elise is a promoter of both reviving music and performing new music. She's performed several of the standard mid-twentieth century music including works by Britten, Duke, and Copeland and has recently taken on new pieces, including a song cycle composed for her in June 2009, 'Joy of My Life'. She partnered with the RNCM in 2008, singing in the Messiaen Festival, and also partnered with the Great Falls Symphony in the revival of opera POIA by A. Nevin, in celebration of the bicentennial Lewis and Clark expedition.
